Friends Exhibition: Seriously
In August 2024, Linda Kasmaty sent out a request for volunteers to join a Friends’ subgroup. All with a view to staging an exhibition of items in the Swindon collection, selected by the Friends. After much discussion, the Friends got the exhibition installed in Museum and Art Swindon. It will run until September 2025.
As Chair of the Arts Council in the 1950s, Sir Kenneth Clarke said: ‘They take art seriously in Swindon’.
In this talk, we will explain how and why we chose our selection of paintings and ceramics from the Swindon Collection for the exhibition ‘Seriously…..’
